2. Collection and processing of personal data
We collect personal data only insofar as this is necessary for the provision of our services or you provide it to us voluntarily.
Request form
When you use our request form, the following data is collected: first name, last name and e-mail address as well as, optionally, company, area of interest and message. The information is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS) to our web server and forwarded from there as an e-mail to our mailbox info@keppler.de. The web server and the mailbox are operated by our hosting provider (see Section 3). The data is used exclusively to process your request and to contact you.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of a contract).
3. Hosting, e-mail and server logs
This website and our e-mail mailbox are operated by PLUTEX GmbH, Hermann-Ritter-Straße 110, 28197 Bremen, which acts on our behalf (processing on behalf of a controller pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR).
When this website is accessed, the hosting provider stores technically necessary access data (server logs): IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, amount of data transferred as well as browser and operating system. This data serves to ensure operation and is not used to identify individual persons. The hosting provider deletes these logs after about one week.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website).
4. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set any cookies. Only your light/dark setting is stored in the local storage of your browser, under the key kp-theme and only once you switch the view. This setting is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time via the settings of your browser. If you object to audience measurement (section 5), your browser additionally stores the entry kp-analytics-optout; it does not leave your device either.
Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (function expressly requested by you).
5. Web analytics with Matomo
This website uses Matomo, a privacy-friendly open-source web analytics software that runs on our own web server (keppler.de/analytics/matomo). Your data is not passed on to third parties.
Matomo records anonymised usage data (e.g. pages visited, length of stay, approximate region of origin based on truncated IP addresses) without cookies and without creating personal user profiles. The full IP address is not stored.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in analysing website usage to improve our offering). Since no cookies are set, no separate consent is required. You can object to the collection at any time. To do so, untick the box below; your browser remembers this, and Matomo is no longer loaded on this website. The objection applies to this browser on this device.
Matomo deletes the individual visit data after 180 days; after that only aggregated statistics remain, with no link to individual visits.
6. Links to other websites
This website refers to offerings outside keppler.de, such as our portal vNOC42, our CloudFaktor business division and the websites of our partners. When you open such a link, you leave this website; the processing there is governed by the privacy policy of the respective provider.
7. Disclosure of data
Your personal data will not be passed on, sold or rented to third parties unless this is necessary for the performance of a contract or required by law. The hosting provider processes data only on our behalf (Section 3).
8. Storage period
Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to process your request or as required by statutory retention periods. On request, your data will be deleted without undue delay, provided that no statutory obligations prevent this.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time without giving reasons.

The competent supervisory authority is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit der Freien Hansestadt Bremen (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen).
10. Validity of this policy
This privacy policy applies from October 2026. We reserve the right to update it as necessary in order to adapt it to changes in the legal situation or in our services.
